DAY1: VIENTIANE - ARRIVAL 

On arrival in the Laos capital of Vientiane, you will be met and transferred to your centrally located hotel.


After a short rest, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Enroute to Lao’s national icon, the precious and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. The Mekong riverside is the perfect place to end the day and admire the sunset.


DAY2: VIENTIANE – BUDDHA PARK – XIENG KHOUANG (B) BY FLY

After the client have breakfast at hotel we take a short drive out of the city to visit the Buddha Park where hundreds of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures brought from India are displayed. Then return to airport at city direct flight to Xieng Khuang Province


DAY3: XIENG KHOUANG – FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B)

This morning, get a feel for the local lifestyle in the Central Market. Then visit the UXO MAG Exhibition Room. We then transfer out to the picturesque Jar Site 2, and the impressive Jar Site 3, consisting over around 150 jars located on top of a hill, offering great views over the surrounding countryside.  And then driving out to the ancient town of Muang Khoun, the former provincial capital, where you can explore the ruins of a number of ancient pagodas in the Lanna style That Fun sputa and Wat Phiawat, a ruined temple containing a huge sitting Buddha.  We then return to Phonsavanh Town on the way we visit Jar Site 1, the largest site, containing over 300 jars, before returning to your hotel by late afternoon.


DAY4: XIENG KHOUANG – LUANG PRABANG (B) BY ROAD

Early morning, we visit Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch different Hill tribes to barter and exchange merchandises. Then heading out this small town to Luang Prabang about 260km, on the way, stop and see a site more than 200 years old Buddha images in Thampra and varied Hmong and varied hill tribe minority villages along the road. They are nice, friendly and welcome you to visit. Continue driving up hill, enjoying mountain splendid natural scenery, forest and landscape.


After a tea or coffee break at Sala Phoukhoun, where the T-junction of bordering meets Vientiane – Xieng khouang – Luang Prabang. The journey will take us over mountainous region to Luang Prabang. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. Checking into hotel and relax after a long journey.


DAY5: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR – KHUANG SI WATERFALL (B)

All the main sights of interest are close together, so this morning we walk around the various wats including Wat Xieng Thong (the Golden Temple built in 1559) which is strikingly decorated in brilliant red and gold designs, with an imposing tiled roof and mosaic dragon motifs. We also include Wat Visoun site of the impressive Thad Makmo Stupa. A visit will also be made to the Ock Pop Tock weaving centre. Ock Pop Tok, meaning 'east meets west', was founded in 2000 by a local weaver and an English photographer. Combining a passion for textiles and a driving force for positive change in the community, the centre aims to empower women through their traditional skills, as well as promoting the beauty of Laotian textiles. Laos is known for its traditional crafts, and today we visit the ethnic villages of Ban Ouay, (Hmong), Ban Ou (Lowland Lao) and Ban Thapene (Khmu). Continue driving to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfalls where we can splash around in the pools or walk along forest paths.


DAY6: LUANG PRABANG –  PAK OU CAVE - DEPARTURE (B)

You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks – an awe-inspiring sight. Please tell your guide a day in advance if you wish to make an offering so he/she can prepare some food for you to hand over to the monks. This early morning ritual dates back generations in Laos. Watch the town come to life in the morning then return to the hotel for breakfast or join the locals for a bowl of delicious noodle soup after the alms giving ritual. (If you do not wish to make an offering, please keep an appropriate distance and observe the ritual in silence. Dress appropriately – shoulders, chest and legs should be covered).


We then visit the Morning Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. it will be time to start your discovery of Luang Prabang. Start to visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we will make a stop at Ban Xang Hai village where rice wine is distilled. We will visit the caves of Tham Ting and Tham Phoum which house hundreds of Buddha statues. Lunch at local restaurant. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon, continue to airport for departure.
