PROGRAM

Half Day Tour :

  • 7:40 am meet your driver in the hotel lobby or at Whisper Journeys office and depart by private or join group vehicle to the Living Land Farm

  • Spend your morning learn all of the 13 steps of rice production and you do each steps yourself

  • Ploughing in mud with Susan our buffalo

  • Planting rice, harvesting, threshing, grinding, winnowing and enjoy the enjoy the bounty

  • Taste some samples excellence rice products

  • Return back to Luang Prabang by private or join group vehicle



FULL ITINERARY

A community enterprise, growing organic vegetables and rice. Spend half a day on our Living Rice Farm, situated in idyllic countryside, surrounded by mountains in the middle of ancient rice terraces. Learn and join in the steps to plant, harvesting and processing rice, come and let us show you how rice is grown on our farm and try your hands on at some activities.

*** The tour excludes: insurance in all kinds, personal expenses & tips.

  • Itinerary is subject to change depending on flight availability, road and/or weather conditions and room availability.
  • Group of 10 persons and above will use separate vehicle in Luang Prabang due to UNESCO restrictions on large coaches entering downtown Luang Prabang.
  • Hotels listed above may not meet international star rating standards, especially in the remote areas where accommodation options are limited.
  • Room rates quoted above do not include compulsory fees for special events, peak season such as Christmas and New Year or Gala Dinners etc.
